Poetry For The Heart
This website is dedicated to my niece
Latosha "Shorty" Underwood
Died on February 1, 1998
She will be forever in our thoughts.
There is no hand so small that it doesn't leave an imprint upon the world.
How fading are the joys we dote upon,
Like apparitions see and gone;
But those which soonest take there flight,
Are the most exquisite and strong.
Like angels' visits, short and bright;
Mortality's too weak to bear them long.
When You Lose A Parent You Lose Your Past
When You Lose A Spouse You Lose Your Present
When You Lose A Child You Lose Your Future
